This is Our Story: A Self-Reliant and Resilient, Sustainable Herbal Farming Community in Bali.
BHOB was not built in a boardroom, it was born out of necessity. In 2021, as the pandemic halted Bali’s tourism industry, thousands of livelihoods were lost overnight. Among the most affected were herbal farmers and traditional land workers, keepers of ancestral knowledge passed down through generations. What they held was valuable, but suddenly had no place in a modern world chasing fast trends and imported convenience.

We recognised an opportunity not only to preserve traditional knowledge but also to purposefully reintroduce it. BHOB, which stands for Bumi Herbs and Oditi Bali, embodies a wellness hub that merges Indonesian herbal heritage with contemporary product innovation. From the outset, our mission has been twofold: to empower local communities and to create products that provide genuine, effective wellness rooted in nature.
We collaborate directly with herbal farmers across four key regions in Bali: Tabanan, Bangli, Jembrana, and Karangasem. By fostering ethical trade partnerships and sustainable practices such as solar drying, we aim for long-term economic inclusion. Every ingredient we use is traceable, and each formulation is crafted with integrity.

Our vision extends beyond simply creating natural products.
We are dedicated to establishing a responsible ecosystem where quality, transparency, and impact coexist harmoniously. All our products are manufactured under strict health and safety standards, are FDA approved, and are designed to meet the evolving needs of health-conscious consumers worldwide.
At BHOB, we assert that herbal wellness is not a luxury but a lifestyle choice grounded in science, culture, and sustainability. There are no exaggerated claims, no greenwashing, just authentic results derived from genuine herbs.

At BHOB, we align our mission with five key SDGs: promoting good health and well-being (SDG 3), empowering women through inclusive farming partnerships (SDG 5), creating fair economic opportunities (SDG 8), practicing responsible production (SDG 12), and advancing climate action through solar drying and eco-friendly packaging (SDG 13). We believe collaboration is key, working hand in hand with communities and partners to drive meaningful change (SDG 17).
